Using the TCMS v2 on a PC loaded with Windows Vista or Windows 7 can occasionally cause some glitches. Due to the extra security features that are built into the newer operating systems, Windows Vista and Windows 7 tend to have error messages pop up regularly when operating the TCMS v2 on it. This is because the program files and system registry files on Windows Vista/7 are protected, and running the TCMS v2 requires access to these protected files.

To prevent the prompting of the error messages and to ensure that the TCMS v2 is running smoothly on your Windows Vista/7, you’ll have to ensure that you click on “Run as Administrator” when installing and running the application. Follow the simple steps below:

Step 1
To install, right click on the file named “setup” and select “Run as administrator”.
Step 2
A system message “User Account Control” (UAC) will prompt to gain authorization for installation. Select “Allow” to proceed. This User Account Control helps to prevent unauthorized changes to computer.
Step 3
Follow the instructions on the screen to continue with the installation.
Step 4
To run the TMCSv2 software on the Windows Vista/7 platform., right click and select “Run as administrator”.
