PRODUCT END OF LIFE POLICY
FingerTec has been in the market since the beginning of the millennium and has since launched various models to the worldwide market. Now, it is time for us to address product End-of-Life (EOL) issue which affecting our dealer networks and how they support their clients in the market having the end-of-life products. End of Product Life Cycle is a process that guides the final business operations
End of Product Life Cycle is a process that guides the final business operations associated with the product life cycle. The end-of-life process consists of a series of technical and business milestones and activities that, once completed, make a product obsolete. Once obsolete, the product is not sold, manufactured, improved, repaired, maintained, or supported.
Few of our products, for various reasons, are chosen to go through the end-of-life cycle. However, advancement of technology in the line of products make the earlier batches of models have different set of parts and software support as compared to the later ones. While the earlier products could be working properly, there will be time when they require support. With that notion in mind, FingerTec has implemented FingerTec’s end-of-life (EOL) policy to assist customers with managing their end-of-life transition. At the same time, this policy will help them understand the role that FingerTec will be playing in helping to migrate to alternative platforms and technology.
The FingerTec End of Life Policy only applies to products announced under the EOL Policy after March 1st 2011. The Policy does not apply to products prior to this announcement. A few products as listed in here are not announced under the EOL Policy but are still being used by our clients, please contact info@fingertec.com for a proposed solution.
